Up for sale is a meticulously restored and upgraded 1987 Mongoose Alta. This "restomod" project blends the indestructible 20" 4130 Chromoly "White Euro" frame with high-quality modern components.
Every original part was deep-cleaned, polished and oiled while all wear items were replaced with brand-new, premium upgrades.
The original drivetrain and components showed minimal to no wear and the bike overall appeared to have no use the last 39 years. A remarkable find in itself! Just look at those before restoration photos!
Paint Restoration & Protection:
The frame has undergone a multi-stage finish restoration:
-Deep degrease and decontamination.
-High-speed machine and hand polish using Meguiar’s Professional Compound to bring back the factory luster.
-Hand-applied Carnauba Wax for deep shine.
-Finished with a Ceramic Coating for long-term UV protection and easy maintenance in our coastal environment.
