Hebridean Wind Vane Kit (Reduced) - $595 (St Augustine)

servo-pendulum wind vane. This is the now discontinued H1 kit which
includes the pre-cut oak wood parts provided by the designer John Fleming.
Also included is the Hebridean Remote Course Adjustment Kit.
I bought this kit in 2020. It has been stored in a clean dry place
since then. I only unpacked it from its box today to take pictures
for this ad.
I had planned building and using this for some long distance sailing
but life caught up with me and I had to sell my boat. At this stage I
have given up any hope of ever getting around to building it. So now
I'm passing it on to some energetic sailor interested in an affordable
wind powered auto pilot for his sailboat.
All metal components are 316 stainless steel prefabricated by laser
and drilled, ready to bolt on to the frame. Carbon fibre components
are provided for the push rod, vane, etc. All wooden parts, stainless
fastenings, plans, instructions are included.
There is a mountain of information online about the Hebridean
including reviews and discussions on various sailing forums. The
manufacturer's website (windvaneselfsteering.co.uk) has a lot of
information. There's a series of videos on YouTube showing the step by
step building process. There's even a dedicated Facebook group
"Hebridean Wind Vane builders".
I recommend you do your research online before contacting me. I can
only tell you what's in the box.
