Consists of oil fired furnace(10.75" ID x 16" deep) and a 220v electric furnace(7"ID x 8.75" deep.) Have melted many batches of Al with used motor oil which is free but somewhat messy. Recommend clean diesel fuel. Burner could be mod for propane. Furnace has been relined with high quality firebrick for less maintenance. Could melt brass with right crucible. Burner requires small air compressor not included. I melted one batch of Al in electric furnace. Unit got to1600Deg F no problem. Included is a library of 12 foundry books and many articles from the internet, worth well over $100. As the pictures show, many extras like ingot molds, steel crucibles, a wheeled trolley for heavy loads, flask.
Caution: These are homemade and don't come with a professional user manual. If you can't figure things out with the help of all the books included and my notes, this isn't a good project for you.
But if you want to get into home metal casting this is the best start you could possibly have. Scrap Al is free(lawn chairs, etc.)
